The St. Budeaux Community Association

The St. Budeaux Community Association was formed in 1978, and through self help, built our own Community Centre in the St. Budeaux Square car park. In 2007 following a decade of negotiations and legal wrangling the old Community Centre was sold to Messrs lidl, in return for a purpose built Community Centre fronting the St. Budeaux Square, this was opened in December 2007. The freehold of the building has been vested in the Trustees of the Association and belongs to the people of the area.

Our Objectives

The Association is a registered Charity and keen to provide facilities for all ages in the community, especially the elderly and vulnerable in the community. The Association is run by volunteers who are members of the Association.

What We Provide

Combined within the building is a large hall with access to a commercial sized kitchen with a local council rating of 4 also a licensed Bar. A games room is provided with a pool table, darts board, together with television for members who just want to relax .. There is also a small office which can be used for meetings or interviews. All toilet facilities are provided including an accessible toilet for vulnerable people ,fitted with an Aster Bannerman lift, also a mother and toddler changing area. There is a members bar and lounge facility which is operated under Franchise. The Community Centre is situated on the main bus route from the City Centre to Cornwall and shares a free level car park with Lidl Supermarket. We are also 5 minutes from the A38 Parkway accessing off the St. Budeaux interchange.
